I had this e-mail sent to me and it’s so touching that I had to hare it with all of you. Let’s give thanks to all the brave Men and Women that sacrifice to protect our freedom and our way of life. Here’s to you in the armed forces. God Bless and protect you as you protect us.

The embers glowed softly, and in their dim light,
I gazed round the room and I cherished the sight.
My wife was asleep, her head on my chest,
My daughter beside me, angelic in rest.

Outside the snow fell, a blanket of white,
Transforming the yard to a winter delight.
The sparkling lights in the tree I believe,
Completed the magic that was Christmas Eve.

My eyelids were heavy, my breathing was deep,
Secure and surrounded by love I would sleep.
In perfect contentment, or so it would seem,
So I slumbered, perhaps I started to dream.
The sound wasn’t loud, and it wasn’t too near,
But I opened my eyes when it tickled my ear.
Perhaps just a cough, I didn’t quite know,
Then the sure sound of footsteps outside in the snow.

My soul gave a tremble, I struggled to hear,
And I crept to the door just to see who was near.
Standing out in the cold and the dark of the night,
A lone figure stood, his face weary and tight.
A soldier, I puzzled, some twenty years old,
Perhaps a Marine, huddled here in the cold.
Alone in the dark, he looked up and smiled,
Standing watch over me, and my wife and my child.

‘What are you doing?’ I asked without fear,
‘Come in this moment, it’s freezing out here!
Put down your pack, brush the snow from your sleeve,
You should be at home on a cold Christmas Eve!’
For barely a moment I saw his eyes shift,
Away from the cold and the snow blown in drifts..
To the window that danced with a warm fire’s light
Then he sighed and he said ‘Its really all right,
I’m out here by choice. I’m here every night.’
‘It’s my duty to stand at the front of the line,
That separates you from the darkest of times.
No one had to ask or beg or implore me,
I’m proud to stand here like my fathers before me.
My Gramps died at ‘ Pearl on a day in December,’
Then he sighed, ‘That’s a Christmas ‘Gram always remembers.’
My dad stood his watch in the jungles of ‘ Nam ‘,
And now it is my turn and so, here I am.
I’ve not seen my own son in more than a while,
But my wife sends me pictures, he’s sure got her smile.
Then he bent and he carefully pulled from his bag,
The red, white, and blue… an American flag.
I can live through the cold and the being alone,
Away from my family, my house and my home.

I can stand at my post through the rain and the sleet,
I can sleep in a foxhole with little to eat.
I can carry the weight of killing another,
Or lay down my life with my sister and brother..

Who stand at the front against any and all,
To ensure for all time that this flag will not fall.’
‘So go back inside,’ he said, ‘harbor no fright,
Your family is waiting and I’ll be all right.’

‘But isn’t there something I can do, at the least,
‘Give you money,’ I asked, ‘or prepare you a feast?
It seems all too little for all that you’ve done,
For being away from your wife and your son.’

Then his eye welled a tear that held no regret,
‘Just tell us you love us, and never forget.
To fight for our rights back at home while we’re gone,
To stand your own watch, no matter how long.

For when we come home, either standing or dead,
To know you remember we fought and we bled.
Is payment enough, and with that we will trust,
That we mattered to you as you mattered to us.’
PLEASE, Would you do me the kind favor of sending this to as many people as you can? Christmas will
be coming soon and some credit is due to our U.S. service men and women for our being able to
celebrate these festivities. Let’s try in this small way to pay a tiny bit of what we owe. Make
people stop and think of our heroes, living and dead, who sacrificed themselves for us.

Oprah’s still getting heat for having Dr. Jan Adams on her show in the wake of Kayne West’s mother’s death after undergoing a Breast surgery and Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) with the Beverly Hills Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon.

Is this fair to Oprah?  I think, at the end of the day, that it’s our own responsibility to be an educated consumer whether we’re buying a television or plastic surgery.  Read my helpful tips on choosing a plastic surgeon here: http://www.drfpalmer.com/choose.html

Be an educated consumer and do your own research when it comes to selecting your plastic and cosmetic surgeon…whether you’re having a minimal incision facelift, Breast Augmentation or any other plastic surgery and/or treatment.

‘Dancing’ Star Smirnoff Has Nose Surgery

AOL

(Nov. 13) — Karina Smirnoff of Dancing with the Stars had plastic surgery on her twice-broken nose, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

The 29-year-old dancing pro who partnered with boxer Floyd Mayweather this season had the procedure done Nov. 2 for medical as well as aesthetic reasons. Read the Full Story

Karina Smirnoff is very attractive but if you use my “What’s Your Number” system on her face, she scores an 83 mostly because of the distraction that her nose creates on her face. Her nose, in this picture, is long with the tip rotated downward and as such takes the viewers attention away from the most important aesthetic facial features which are the Cheeks, Eyes and Lips in that order. Now a Rhinoplasty to reduce the nose in a soft and natural-looking manner would increase her face Number by almost 10 points, making her a 93 out of 100 (a perfect score). With my What’s Your Number system, beauty dooesn’t have to be a secret, esoteric or ephemeral…it is quantifiable, identifiable and therefore able to be re-created. You just need to know the secrets.

Rap Star’s Mother Had Tummy Tuck, Breast Reduction Before She Died

AP

Read article here: http://music.aol.com/news/story/_a/kanye-wests-mother-dies-suddenly/20071111180809990001

A Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon has admitted performing a Tummy Tuck and Breast reduction on Kanye West’s mothewr Donda West.  The patient later died from complications still not clear at this time.   There seems to be a question as to Donda’s overall state of health before the plastic surgery according to another Beverly Hills Plastic Surgeon who say’s he was also consulted by West’s mother.

This brings up several important point points for anyone seeking plastic and cosmetic surgery in beverly Hills or anywhere else.

1. Be honest with your plastic surgeon about your medical condition, medications and any medical problems that you have.  It does happen that patients omit medical conditions because they fear the plastic surgeon will not agree to do the surgery…well dah, not if you’re not healthy.  Don’t be foolish…tell the plastic surgeon everything that affects your health and all medications that you are taking.

2. Do not ignore warnings from one plastic surgeon about your health and being a surgical candidate.  Patients can and will find some plastic or cosmetic surgeon that may ignore their condition in this current market of “Buyer Beware” but coeme on, you’re doing that at your own peril.  The risk is you could die or have a serious complication.

3. If you are over 55 years old, are on any medications or have any medical symptoms like shortness of breath/an irregular heart beat/pain in your legs with walking…you should have a full set of lab work and a medical examination by your medical doctor to dtermine if you are medically cleared for the plastic surgery.

Here’s an article, I ran across on AOL that lists 200 skincare products.  This is the problem with skincare products today…how in the world is a consumer going to be able to make the proper choice about what skin care products work when faced with this mountain of products?  That’s exactly why I started my own Cosmeceutical skincare company 3 years ago Francis R Beverly Hills(R)…to address this need.  Real products developed by myself working directly with the chemist with the specific goal of rejuvenating the skin.  Only after the formulations proved highly effective, did they become Francis R Beverly Hills products.

Had a Female Celebrity come in the other day recommended by her aesthetician who said “Oh, you have to go to the Cheek Guy” and gave her my name and phone number. I’ve been called many things in my 20 year career as a Beverly Hills and London Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon, but this was a new one. Mind you, I’m not upset because in a way, I am the Cheek Guy when it comes to mentioning how vital the Cheeks are in making the face appear youthful and attractive. Lord knows, I do enough Cheek Augmentation with Cheek Implants and radiesse Injections. Oh and the aesthetician also mentioned my “Celebrity Lift” as the greatest thing since sliced bread…which I thought was very cool.
