Ok, you’re wondering “why in the world I have plastic and comsetic surgery when the economy is bad?” You may also be thinking “why not have my plastic and cosmetic surgery done closer to home because I can get a better price on the procedure?“
Let’s take a look at the first part: As I discussed previuosly on this blog…you are your best and most important asset. You should always take care of yourself and that includes your appearance. Nothing lasts forever, this recession included and when things turn around…you won’t need to play catch up because you were smart enough to maintain your looks all along. Another thing to consider is that when you look great…you feel even better and your appearance is the only thing in this crazy world that is under your control right now (more on that later).
Now, for the second part: I’ve been a Beverly Hills Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon for almost 20 years and I know that there are places in the US and the rest of the world that can entice you with cheaper prices for your plastic and cosmetic surgery. The question is in this economy..can you afford to throw good money at something that may not give you the desired results. Other places can claim it…can offer it or can disquise and minimize it’s importance but Quality is the main thing you need when someone is performing plastic and cosmetic surgery on your face or body. Recently we were contacted by e-mail. The patient was from Europe and wanted a Rhinoplasty but had been told by numerous plastic and cosmetic surgeons there… that the surgery was not possible. Now, this was not reconstructive but rather a first time Rhinoplasty. The patient was obviously distraught and contacted us for a possible Rhinoplasty. Photos of the patient were e-mailed to us at drfpalmer1@aol.com for our review and a telephone consultation was arranged (by calling our office at 310-652-9583) for me to discuss my findings and recommendations. As I reviewed the pictures of the patient’s nose, I saw a very difficult Rhinoplasty but surely not one that I would say couldn’t be done. We had the telephone consult during which I relayed my opinion and the patient was obvious extremely happy to hear the news and scheduled the Rhinoplasty. The Rhinoplasty went without a hitch, looks great and the patient has since returned to Europe.
So, what’s the moral of the story….simple: Because we have mastered the routine plastic and cosmetic surgery procedures through years of intensive training and experience….the complicated are not impossible for us…just difficult. In other areas of the United States and across the world, they may be still mastring the routine and hence the difficult seem out of the question. Makes sense.
