Beverly Hills Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery “Tip of the Day” from Dr. Francis R Palmer, III Beverly Hills Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon.

Cheek, Cheeks and more Cheeks.

When you’re ready to look more attractive, where should you start?  Think of three important words.  Cheeks, Cheeks and yes, you guessed it Cheeks.  My Palmer Beauty Principles and my What’s Your Number concepts state that the shape and size of your cheeks have the power to tell the world you are male, female, young, old, attractive or less so.  The Cheeks account for a whopping 75% of what makes your face attractive.  Do I have your attention yet?

So when patients come in and see me for consultation, I try to show them that the Cheeks may need improvement.  If you still need convincing, look at a picture of Halle Berry who’s number is a 99 out of a perfect 100 or Jessica Alba who’s number is a perfect 100…both of these beautiful women have perfectly shaped cheeks.

Ok, so now you’re a believer.  So, how do you get those beautiful Cheeks athat are so important to making you attractive?

1. Cheek Implants for Cheek Augmentation…for people with relatively flat Cheeks.  Relatively simple procedure where soft silicone implants are placed on top of your existing Cheek Bone through a small incision placed inside your mouth.  Recovery about 1 week.  Lasts forever.

2. Soft tissue fillers.  I like Radiesse for this.  The material lats 1-3 years and can be placed as a series of injections which can be done as an office visit.  Typically gives 50-70% of the augmentation that Cheek Implants would accomplish.  Can be re-done anytime for more augmentation but DOES REQUIRE good aesthetic sense as you are literally molding the new shape of the cheeks.  You’ll look very odd if this is put in the wrong place or makes your Cheeks the wrong shape.  I do not like Fat…it’s not live tissue…it’s not reliable…it’s not a good choice in my opinion.

3. Learn makeup tips that can b eused to give the illusion of fuller, more defined cheeks.  Obviously men are out of luck with this one.

  1. I am 47 years and i want to look younger.
what is the best thing to do as for face?
I am looking for an easy and comfortable way, no cuts.
    thank you

  2. Hey Nasser,

Good question. I’d have to see you or a picture of your face front and side view. You can e-mail my staff with the jpeg’s attached at drfpalmer1@aol.com

    Now some genral things.

    1. No “cuts” means no excess or loose skin will be removed or improved. Is this what you’re looking for?

    2. Read my Palmer Beauty principles and you’ll see that the shape of the cheeks has the power to make you look younger and more attractive. If you don’t want surgery (Cheek Implants) then you could use Radiesse Injections to fill out your cheeks.

You would then next look at your eyes and then your lips to see if they should or could be improved. Don’t be so quick to dismiss procedures with “cuts”…or incisions. Our “Celebrity Lift” has very small incisions yet still allows muscle tightening and skin removal and came make you look 10 years younger in 90 minutes or less without general anesthesia. No string procedure, Laser or peel can come close to those results.
