If you’re looking to make yourself more attractive in a natural and predictable manner, these plastic and cosmetic surgery procedures should be high on your list of things to seek out to accomplish your goal. Face Lifts, Eyelid Surgery, Brow Lifts, surgeries and injections for fuller lips and Rhinoplasty are the main areas that you should concentrate on improving.

Face Lifts: Remove excess skin & fat while tightening the underlying muscle layer (SMAS)…our “Celebrity Lift” is a minimum incision yet highly effective Face Lift Procedure with a rapid recovery that can be performed in about 90 minutes with or without anesthesia.

Eyelid Surgery: Removes excess skin and fat from the upper and or lower eyelids making the eyes appear less tired. Sometimes called Blepharoplasty.

Brow Lifts: Mainly for women, where eyebrows should be elevated, arched and specifically shaped causing the eyes to appear more almond in shape.

Cheek Augmentation: The tissues, of the face, hang from the cheek bones and if your cheeks are not ideally shaped (full and round for women versus narrow and angular for men) Cheek Implants or soft tissue fillers like Radiesse and Perlane can be used to create the desired, more attractive and youthful shape.

Fuller Lips: the lips have the ability to soften the entire lower face but the lips must maintain the proper aesthetic proportion where the upper lip is no more than 75% the size of the lower lip thus creating the soft and pleasing lower lip pout. Lip implants like Alloderm as well as soft tissue fillers like Restylane and Juvederm can be used to create fuller more attractive lips.

Finally, we come to the nose which is the most misunderstood aesthetic facial feature…in my humble opinion. The purpose of the nose is to appear sleek and refined without any major flaws that would otherwise draw attention to it and away from the cheeks, eyes and lips which according to my new book “What’s Your Number…the palmer code”, dictate how attractive your face is perceived by those around you. So, a Rhinoplasty should be performed to make the nose look sleek, refined and natural.

So the next time you think about looking star quality fabulous like your favorite celebrity, follow this simple guide to make yourself more attractive and remember everything has an explanation, even beauty…you just need to know the secrets.

Face Lift Facts from Beverly Hills.

We will take a look at the most pertinent facts that you should consider when seeking a Facelift or facelift procedure. Today, we will concentrate on the basics of what a facelift can and can not do when it comes to rejuvenating the face.

Facelifts have been around for over 4,ooo years and the purpose reamins the same today….to rejuvenate the face. In simple terms, the facelift should tighten the underlying muscle layer (SMAS) of the face and remove excess skin and fatty tissue. Please keep that in mind when reading some of the more outlandish claims that are all over the internet.

The problem is the many variations on facelifts that have emerged over the past 20 years, including some that are not capable of accomplishing the basic goals previously outlined. Some do not allow SMAS tightening or skin removal, making them less effective in rejuvenating the face.

In the next segment on Facelifts, we’ll take a closer look at some of the more common types of Facelifts but today let’s end with palcing the apprpriate amount of emphasis on the aesthetic importance of facelifts and what they should accomplish. I have been performing Face Lifts for over 20 years and while the techniques have changed, my focus has not. The primary goal of my Facelift, as all my plastic and cosmetic surgery procedures is to create/restore the most attractive facial aesthetics. As simple as this sounds, this aesthetic vision is not taught in medical school or surgical training. It is however, the most important factor to consider when you are trying to improve your appearance. Isn’t that the purpose of having plastic and cosmetic surgery afterall?

The face has various facial features that carry different aesthetic importance. Some will transform the face into one that is youthful and attractive while others have much less impact. These aesthetic principles, The Palmer Code is outlined in my new book “What’s Your Number…the palmer code.” I strongly suggest you read and learn what makes the face and body attractive before you have any type of plastic surgery treatment or procedure. For now, I’ll leave you with this thought..if the cheeks are not ideally shaped, during any type of facelift procedure, the face will not be perceived as youthful and attractive and may actually appear overly pulled, tight and mishapen. The very best, top rated plastic and cosmetic surgeons understand this and when you see inspired Facelift results (gorgeous celebrities) this aesthetic vision has been followed (the Celebrity Lift). Some media comments and testimonials.

ssh tfbd 256 Face Lifts Facts

Quick, when you think of a beautiful starlet that has undergone a facelift surgery procedure…you often think of Beverly Hills which in the greater Los Angeles area because of it’s proximity to and high number of celebrity clientele.

Celebrities have for many years undergone some form of facelift procedure as a way to look attractive to their adoring fans. We, as a society love our “beautiful stars” and require them to look “star-like” with an almost Peter Pan like youthfulness that seems to defy gravity, time and logic. Often that look comes from a brilliantly performed facelift surgery.

What is a brilliantly performed facelift surgery? Simple, one that creates a natural, beautiful face regardless of whether it’s for a woman or a man. The inspired facelift procedure will allow the face to appear beautiful (in a woman) or ruggedly handsome (in a man) in a natural manner without the obvious signs of poor surgical results like the “wind-swept” or “joker” look that seems all to prevalent in today’s tabloids and expose’ pieces on bad plastic surgery.

So, how do you get an inspired facelift procedure?

1. Everything begins with the realization that the face has an aesthetic shape when it appears beautiful in women and ruggedly handsome in men. Further these are not the same or inter-changeable which means that the facelift must have very different goals for a woman than a man’s face.

2. Shape always trumps symmetry. That means that when performng a facelift, the plastic and cosmetic surgeon must be sure to create a more youthful, naturally appearing shape to the face as a result of the facelift procedure. If this is overlooked, as seems so commonplace today, the result is a pulled, unattractive appearance. Another way to say this is: it doesn’t matter how tight the facelift procedure pulls the skin, but rather what shape is left behind that determines how good the face looks.

3. This will mean that whether you are 32, 45 or 68….your face must have the proper , youthful shape established in order for your face to appear youthful and naturally attractive. The facelift which is designed to lift and tighten loose muscle and skin alone can’t create the desired shape. There is another dimension that must be added to the facelift in order to acheive this all important goal.

4. The main area that needs to be focused upon, in addition to the tightening and removal of excess skin during the facelift, is the creation of the proper..more youthful cheek, jawline, chin and neck. The lips may also be enhanced and the nose refined
(Rhinoplasty or nasal surgery) all to add the finishing aesthetic touches to the face.

5. Shaping the cheeks may mean removing excess fat from the nasolabial folds and or creation of a more shapely cheek by using soft tissue fillers like Perlane or Radiesse or by using a
cheek implant.

6. The jawline is best shaped by using a soft tissue filler like Perlane or Radiesse. Jaw implants do exist but are somewhat problematic, in my opinion to the point that I prefer using the fillers for this effect.

7. Chin implants or fillers both work well at shaping and augmenting the chin area.

8. The lips can be augmented using Alloderm or any number of fillers that are applied to the borders of the lip. Alloderm is placed just beneath the red portion of the lip above the lip muscle through small incisions at the corners of the mouth.

So if you are looking for a softer, morre youtful face as a woman or a ruggedly handsome face as a man….be sure to
select a plastic and cosmetic surgeon who embraces the above aesthetic philosophy when it comes to shaping the face. Remember it all about facial shape and much less about how much skin is removed and how tight the face is pulled.

There was a large article in todays’ Wall Street Journal about the dangers of having Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery and other elective surgical procedures in non-accredited office/surgery centers. It’s true that you should be aware of the environment in which your plastic and cosmetic procedure will take place.

California, New York, Texas and I believe Florida have existing regulations that all out patient surgical facilities must be accredited. Our Beverly Hills surgery center has such an accreditation and has for many years…but in other states this is voluntary and certainly in other countries the rules may be quite different. So, what’s the big deal you ask. Here are some of the most important points regarding the subject:

1. There are certain anesthesia criteria that require a well-trained anesthesiologist or nurse anesthetist administer your anesthesia. Without this rule, your anesthesia maybe administered by an office nurse or the surgeon himself….
2. The proper resusitation equipment is required with accreditation that otherwise may or may not be available.
3. Accreditation is another way to make sute that the doctor is trained and experienced in the procedure that you are going to have. With economic pressures today, there are dentists, oral surgeons, gynecologists and all forms of doctors performing plastic and cosmetic surgery…so you may want an outside agency deciding who is and who isn’t tained to do your procedure.

So the next time you’re considering a plastic and cosmetic surgery procedure and you don’t live in a state with mandatory accreditation of outpatient surgery centers, come to Beverly Hills where you can be confident and secure that your surgery will be performed in an accredited facility.

At the end of the day why do people have Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery? To improve their appearance and in a fair number of those cases…this means to look more youthful as well as attractive. There are several things to consider and several steps, that you can take, to ensure this is the result that you get from your Rhinoplasty, Face Lift, Eyelid Surgery, Browlift, Breast Implants, Fuller Lips, Cheek Implants, Chin Implant, Tummy Tuck or Liposuction. Celebrities that look more attractive and radiant understand these important points

First things to consider:
1. Avoid generic type procedures sold by corporations and businessmen to any doctor and surgeon willing to pay the fee in order to use the procedure name. We’ve all seen the ads on TV and magazine for these types of procedures…be aware that they will be performed by a whole host of different doctors and surgeons with varying degrees of training, experience and ability.

2. Avoid technological advances that are devoid of real science behind the claims. Remember it’s easy to make promises…quite another to deliver real results. That’s why experience and training are key.

3. You get what you pay for. Spend some time reading the posts on this blog to see people who could have made better choices by not placing costs ahead of results, experience and training of their surgeon. You will not get the best quality plastic and cosmetic surgeons to do your plastic surgery at bargain basement prices.

Steps to take for a more attractive you:

1. At any age consider improving the shape of your face. Cheeks, chin and jawline (primarily in men) can be augmented and accentuated to make female faces more fiminine and male faces more ruggedly handsome. This should be the primary focus of your efforts as it yields the most rewards.

2. Rhinoplasty can shape the nose to make it more sleek and unaware. Just be careful not to assign more aesthetic importance to your nose than it really has… Learn more by reading my new book on the subject “What’s Your Number”…the palmer code.

3. Face Lifts are to remove excess skin and tighten the underlying muscles…they can’t create or place shape into the face….this requires experience using step 1 above. Having said that, look for sophisticated versions (like our Celebrity Lift that has much smaller incisions, limited dissection and rapid recovery), not like older traditional versions that take hours to perform and weeks, or months to heal.

4. Breast Implants remain popular with women looking to improve the size and or shape of the breasts….Saline or Silicone implants.

5. Eyelid surgery can remove the tired look from your eyes…in less than 1 hour.

6. Tummy Tuck and Liposuction can be used to flaten the stomach area and re-shape the body by removing excess body fat.

This Summer here in our Beverly Hills office, Rhinoplasty, Face Lifts (our Celebrity Lift which is a quicker, less invasive Face Lift), Breast Implants and of course facial implants (Cheeks and Chin).

Rhinoplasty , especially out of stae and country clients from Europe, Asia and the Middle East continue to seek both primary and Revision Rhinoplasty as well as Face Lift procedures. Our Celebrity Lift continues to amaze as people want a quick, easy recovery which this minimal incision Face and Neck Lift offers. Most patients fly home days after the procedure…instead of the weeks they had to wait after a traditional Face Lift.

As the weather warms up, women’s thoughts go to the size and shape of their breasts and Breast Augmentation and Enhancement with Implants gains popularity. When combined with crescent lifts, the breasts can be lifted as well as more shapely.

Radiesse, Perlane or Cheek and Chin Implants can all be used to augment the Cheeks, Chin and Jawline for an improved facial shape…which as you know is the most important aspect of facial improvement…as outlined in my new book “What’s Your Number….the palmer code”.

Where are you getting your information about Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery? From friends, colleagues, the internet? Does it matter? Yes, I’m afraid it does matter and it may matter a great deal if you act on information that’s incorrect…you could look worse and in some cases much worse.

The internet is amazing with all kinds of information about all subjects including plastic and cosmetic surgery like Face Lifts, Eyelid Surgery, Rhinoplasty, Breast Implants, Cheek Implants, Chin Implants, Lip Implants, Breast Implants, Tummy Tucks, Botox, Dysport, Radiesse, Restylane, Juvederm and IPL treatments. The problem isn’t the amount of available information, I’m afraid, but rather the quality of the information.

There are many sources of plastic and cosmetic surgery information written by laypeople…which means non-plastic and cosmetic surgeons. You can find these articles on numerous web portals that go by all sorts of names and list pages and pages of names of surgeons for you to visit and hopefully see. The thing you must understand is that the surgeons typically pay a monthly fee to be listed and more money to be featured in these directories and there is most likely little or no screening criteria for experience or quality.

Then there’s the chat boards. Here some person who’s not using their real name and has little way of proving that they are who they claim or that they have even had the type of plastic and cosmetic surgery procedures that they are discussing…all of which makes for very questionable information.

Even if you get information from a patient who has had the same type of plastic and comsetic surgery…it doesn’t mean that you’ll have the same experience because everyone is different in what they will require during the surgery, all surgeries are not performed the same and all sugeons will do the same procedure in a different manner. In my 20 years of writing and teaching about plastic and cosmetic surgery this is the most difficult point for me to get across to the consumer.

I recall, some years back, a writer decided to have some huge number of consultations regarding her Face Lift…like 50 or 100. She then chose a surgeon, had her Face Lift and wrote what was touted as a comprehensive guide on Face Lift Surgery. I read about the book in the newspaper and almost split my side laughing at the sheer nonsense and arrogance of such a concept. I will explain further:
The patient during her Face Lift consultation would have received different advice, evaluation and recommendations from all (let’s say 50) surgeons with which she consulted. Next, when she had her Face Lift…she was asleep and as such was completely unaware of exactly how her surgeon did her Face Lift. And even if she was awake and could see, which is just silly, her surgeon did her Face Lift a bit differently than other surgeons or what other patients would have required. It’s not just an adage…we all are unique and as such require different things during surgery. Lastly, the writer could write about her personal post Face Lift experience but healing, pain, emotions and results vary greatly and as such she really doesn’t have the years and thousands of cases to see the norm…or the average in any of these areas.

A bit winded perhaps but now you can see the problem with listening to Susie, who says her Rhinoplasty went great…or was horrible. You may be quite different from Susie in what needs to be done during your Rhinoplasty, who you’ll have do the Rhinoplasty, how you’ll heal, the final result and whether or not that result ultimitely makes you happy. All in all, nice to chat with but no real solid information can be gained. Even less if you consider that it maybe a staff member of friend of the surgeon who’s writing the post and suggesting a particular surgeon for you to see.

I believe it’s best to receive your information about plastic and cosmetic surgery from the various plastic and cosmetic surgery sites or individual surgeons sites. It’s much more likely to be accuarate information that will be useful to you the consumer.

As the rest of the world awakens to new ways to make themselves more attractive through Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery and/or non-invasive medical treatments like our Celebrity Face Lift”, Cheek Implants, Rhinoplasty, Eyelid Surgery, Breast Augmentation, Chin Implants, Botox, Radiesse, Juvederm and Lip Augmentation….these procedures have become a munlti-billion dollar industry. If you consider that Botox sales..excluding the new Dysport toxin that just arrived on the US market, has worldwide sales of about 1.2 billion dollars, you can see that many billions of dollars are spent on improving the appearance of people all around the world.

What you elect to have done to improve your appearance should entail at least as much education and fact finding as you’d do to purchase a new electronic device. Except plastic and cosmetic surgery and procedures are hand-made and will vary significantly between plastic and cosmetic surgeons who all have their own way of doing things. Aesthetic Medicine…which includes plastic and cosmetic surgery is not cookbook but is practiced as an art, which means it will be done differently. So your most important decisions as a consumer is to find the right plastic and cosmetic surgeon to give you want you want: which is to be more attractive.
In my opinion, there are two main things that every person must know before seeking to improve upon their appearance. It’s what the celebrities, that look good…not the disasters we’ve all see in the tabloids but the stars that look youthful, refreshed and yes…star-like beautiful. It’s what they know and you need to know as well.

1. There is a guide…a master plan that describes beauty of the face and body and you need to understand the information contained within this guide. A culmination of 20 years of my work as a Beverly Hills Plastic and Cosmetic surgeon who has worked on the faces and bodies of celebrities, royalty, captains of industry and socialites from around the world…this guide represents nothing less than my trade secrets of how I made these individuals and thousands more more youtful and naturally attractive. All in an easy to read, follow and learn book >”What’s Your Number…the palmer code.“

2. Once you are armed with the knowledge about what will and will NOT make you more attractive, you must know how to choose your plastic surgeon. I have written an easy to follow 4 step guide on How To Choose Your Plastic Surgeon that will help you in your journey. If your search means that you must travel away from your town, city or country…believe me you are not alone. We have many international clients that travel to Beverly Hills for their plastic and cosmetic surgery and treatments. Why? It’s just like the actress from China who recently contacted us (and she’s by no means alone) who is seeking corrections from locally done work…Quality and experience counts for everything!

There is an old adage that I have found holds true in life and Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery is certainly no exception. It especially holds true in China, Asia and Europe where plastic and cosmetic surgery is only now becoming common place….. “there simply is no substitute for experience…and you get what you pay for.” You can’t get a Ferarri for the price of a Yugo and you won’t get a world-class plastic and cosmetic surgeon for a bargain basement price, so if it comes down to penny pinching, I advise you to save your money and take a vacation. You may not look younger or more attractive after the trip…but you won’t risk looking worse, which will certainly cost you much, much more to fix in the long run.
